Springtime Redecorating Ideas

With spring just around the corner, it is a great time to think about having a spring clean, and sorting out your home. With more sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures, it can be a great time to declutter, clean, and dust off the cobwebs and grime that has accumulated over winter. But alongside that, it can be a time when home renovations are the most popular. With a new season and people wanting to freshen things up for spring, it could be a great time for you to make some changes. If you are looking to improve some things around the house, then here are some things that will help you to plan any changes or renovations that you want.

Flooring

The flooring that you have in a room can completely change the look of the room. If you currently have tiled flooring or laminate, it could be time to change it up and go for carpet, from somewhere like Carpet To Go if you are wanting something a little softer and cozier in some rooms. Adding in rugs on areas like wooden flooring can make a big difference, or you could completely change the color flooring that you have in an effort to redecorate, without having to reach for a paintbrush.

Soft Furnishings

The soft furnishings that you have in your home can really complete the look of the home. You can add pops of color with cushions and throws, and bean bag chairs are really popular at the moment, and serve both a practical purpose, as well as aesthetic purpose. Even something like changing the bedding in your home can freshen up the look of the room, which can make a huge difference to how things look.

Feature Wall

Painting and redecorating the whole of one room can be a lot of work. But if you want to make some changes, but not have to paint the whole house, then creating a feature wall can be a fun way to decorate and to make things look different. You could just choose to paint a wall in a bold color, but still one that compliments the other decor. You could choose some wallpaper with a print that would be too much for the whole room, but would look good with just one wall. It is your chance to be bold, without having to be too daring or having the whole room look exactly the same.

Another idea for a feature wall is to have a photo wall. It could be going up the stairs or in a wall in a room like the dining room, for example. They need to be planned out, but can look so good. Choose frames in different sizes, fill them with art work or family photos, and then you have a custom wall that will look so good.

Have you got any renovation or redecorating plans this springtime? It would be great to hear what you think and what kind of projects you have planned.
