Dreaming of Spring with Pink Blush

This post originally appeared on our old blog, Born to be a Bride.

True story: the first set of photographs for this spring fashion blog post was shot outside in 70-degree weather up the block from my home in suburban New Jersey. In the time since that first set was shot, we have had two nor’easters with such severe snow, the kids have missed multiple days of school and this morning — the first day of spring — we have a delayed opening.

In true work-from-home mom style, I’ve been running around like a crazed chicken trying to keep everyone fed, clean, and happy through multiple colds, power outages, teething crises, and so on. They say March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Can we get a little of lamb love next week, please? Man, am I ever praying for it.

This lengthy preamble was to give you an idea of why the blog’s been so quiet recently. But re-energized with the promise of spring in the air, I am so excited for some upcoming collaborations and products to share with you. Also, looking forward to getting some fun DIY’s, baby fashion, and more cropping up — as well as a HUGE rebranding and redesign you’re not going to want to miss.

In the meantime, let’s talk about spring fashion with one of my go-to favorite brands, Pink Blush. If you’ve been following for a while you’ve watched me get through two pregnancies in their adorable maternity dresses, and two seasons of breastfeeding young babies in their awesome nursing tops and more.

Now that the sun is (hopefully) going to peek through, I am ready to shed the icky winter layers of nursing tanks, sweaters, leggings, and mud-laden boots. I’m reaching for dresses — gauzy dresses, maxi dresses, v-neck dresses. Day dresses and date night dresses — I want them all!

My top two choices for our upcoming trip to South Carolina are a deep V crossover chiffon wrap dress with a fashion-forward floral print that’s super easy to nurse in and falls off the body flattering your every curve.

I also carted the perfect date night sheath with velvet print overlay. Josh is a huge fan of this dress, and I was thrilled to nab something that wasn’t designed for mom-life. After all, we all need a night off, amirite?
